Below you will find the many, many rubrics teachers use to mark your work.
Why should you look at these?
They will tell you exactly what your teachers are looking for on your assignments!
They will explain why you were given the marks you were given!
You can use them to pick specific material or skills to study!
1. On the first page of this document you will find the rubric used for assessing Response to Literature questions in Grade 11. On the second page, you will find the rubric used to mark student writing, or Originial Compositions. These are also the rubrics that will be used to mark part of the provincial exams you will write at the end of terms 3 and 4.
2. This is the Speaking and Listening in Group Discussions rubric. When I place you in small working groups, I will often circulate around the room and make a quick evaluation of who is, and who is not, effectively working as part of each group.
3. This is the Maple Leaf rubric for Formal Oral Presentations. A formal presentation is one that you are given time to prepare for - it isn't spontaneous!
4. This is the rubric for working as part of a group in an Online Community. This will be used to assess your participation in the discussions that hopefully will take place on this website. Please note that it has been updated to include finishing your work on time!
